AEWE 2013 Headed out!

JUNE 20 - BACKPACK CHECK-IN - 6:30 P.M. BACC MALL

Leaders will meet at 5:30 p.m. in Mr. Earl's room at the BACC on June 20 followed by backpack check-in for all participants at 6:30 p.m. in the mall.

If you would like to share trip photos, bring your digital photos to Cristy Nagle at the Branch ISD administration building, 366 Morse Street in Coldwater by August 23.

June 6 - Meeting

AEWE Leaders will meet on June 6 at 5:30 p.m. in Mr. Earl's room at the BACC.

The AEWE Student/Leader meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the BACC mall.  All permission forms and payment MUST BE RECEIVED.

Plan to attend to hear updates and receive any equipment you may need.

Final meeting to be held on June 20 - 6:30 p.m. for BACKPACK CHECK-IN.

Departure:  June 22!

The tentative trails assigned to AEWE for backcountry trips in Yellowstone are located in the TRAIL RESERVATIONS document 

Access the Backcountry Trip Planner  document here which lists the Campsite codes on a park map on pages 6 & 7

Remember trail assignments can change right up to the time of departure based on changing weather and backcountry conditions 

PLANNING GUIDES PUBLISHED

The suggested back-country pack list and food planning guides have been published to the blog to help you get ready.

Use these guides as recommendations for how much you need to carry on your back in the back-country and how much cash you will need to plan on for food.

We will stop for "quick food" during the trip out and back but that doesn't mean you have to spend big money. Good planning can keep your food costs low and HEALTHY.

AEWE Equipment was issued on April 11.  Anyone needing equipment should make arrangements with building contact person or Mr. Earl to get it.

AEWE's 2013 Yellowstone adventure kicked off February 6th at the Branch Area Career Center in Coldwater, Michigan.

2013 Hiking Leaders were introduced to parents and students, the trip tentative itinerary was reviewed and the 2013 Hike Compilation video was unveiled.

Next student/parent meeting is set for March 14th in the BACC mall.
